If forced to put my photography style into words, what comes to mind is intimate, honest, and respectful portraits that evoke an emotion or a sense of place. Whether photographing a person or an animal or a tree or a structure, I tend to come at it with the sense of a portraitist. My approach to photography is largely aesthetic, with only just enough technical stuff thrown in to get into the game. If I obsess over anything, it is composition and light.
I take a light touch with post processing my images, employing the digital equivalents of traditional darkroom techniques, such as contrast adjustment or dodging and burning.
